Viega Introduces PEX Press Fire Protection Fittings in
High-Performance Polymer.
Eight new fittings and an innovative installation bracket
offered for ease of installation and cost effectiveness.
 Viega
introduces new Viega PEX Press fire protection fittings and mounting
bracket in high-performance polymer for NFPA 13D fire sprinkler
installations.
Eight new Viega PEX Press fittings for fire sprinkler applications
are available in two sizes, ¾-inch and 1-inch, and in four
configurations, straight adapters, elbows, tees and wall tees. Viega
offers an innovative and versatile installation mounting bracket
that can be used with all sprinkler pendant styles and every
sprinkler configuration, eliminating the guesswork behind properly
aligning the sprinkler pendant. The unique new wall tee fitting does
not require a bracket, and is designed for applications to
efficiently feed back-to-back rooms with one plumbing line and one

“The new Viega PEX Press
fittings and installation bracket for fire sprinkler
applications are cost effective and time efficient for
installers,” said Paige Riddle, product manager, plastics at
Viega. “By taking the guesswork out of mounting and
installing fire sprinkler pendants with our innovative
installation brackets, installers can speed up the process
considerably.”
Viega PEX Solutions offer installers several advantages,
primarily installation time savings. With Viega PEX
Solutions, installers can mount all the brackets, run the
tubing and then press all the fittings, making the
installation quicker and easier. In comparison, rigid pipe
must be installed in a tedious, step-by-step process. The
flexibility of PEX allows for easy bending around corners,
whereas with rigid pipe, elbows must be installed at each
corner. All Viega PEX Press fittings ¾" to 2" are UL listed.
